Friends of the Earth's Nuclear Free Collective is holding an art auction late August and we'd love your creative contributions! Submissions of art works are open until July 14th.

So-called Australia and the world is at a crossroads with nuclear at the moment. We see a declining and dying nuclear industry feverishly trying to conquer a space in the climate adaptation realm, which is not only dangerous and delusional, it has been taken on by fossil fuel cheer squads to delay viable and cost-effective solutions. The Coalition is running with a misinformation campaign on nuclear power that we need to counter.

Alongside this, our so-called leaders have embraced military expansion by signing the AUKUS deal, which brings with it not only allegiance to the US and UK's weapons companies inflicted wars, $368 billion + in secondhand nuclear submarines, but also the high level, weapons grade nuclear waste that comes with it and potentially that from its allies as well.

With various nuclear armed countries involved in current wars, we are going to need all hands on deck and bodies on the line. We can stop this folly. And this is where you come in.

For years, Friends of the Earth's Nuclear Free Collective has been running on the smell of an oily rag, with loyal member donations and the Art Auction to keep us going. The art auction has not only been a very welcome source of income for the collective, it has also been a wonderful occasion to bring our community together around a fun event. All thanks to the generous donations of artists like yourselves.

We welcome artworks from all disciplines and work is not restricted to a theme.

Find contact details through the registration link below. Find out more about the campaign on the Friends of the Earth website below.
