About the film
A crew of young environmental activists execute a daring mission to sabotage an oil pipeline, in Director Daniel Goldhaber’s taut and timely thriller. Based on the controversial book by Andreas Malm, How To Blow Up a Pipeline is part high-stakes heist, and a radical exploration of the climate crisis.
A slick young cast, including Lukas Gage (White Lotus), Sasha Lane (American Honey) and Marcus Scribner (Black-ish) star as eight committed protestors, each with their own eco-agenda.
They come together with a plan to blow up a west Texas pipeline and disrupt the oil trade. The motley crew are made up of a Native American bomb specialist; two women whose lives have been impacted by pollution (with a partner in tow); a Texan gun enthusiast; a filmmaker; and two seasoned campaigners. Director Daniel Goldhaber’s award winner has all the trappings of a heist movie, with a hectic pace, nail-biting tension and plenty of real cliff-hangers.
